Hitachi announced yesterday a new mirror that functions as a computer display.
It combines a half mirror and a diffusion film to directly display digital information (text, photos, video, tv shows, websites, flash movies etc.) on a mirror surface using an LCD projector.
Imagine yourself in front of the mirror and based on your personalized preferences, you can see yourself in Hawaii, pose with your favourite celebrity, try out clothes on your mirror image without actually wearing them or simply try out a new hairpiece, if you are bald.
On a serious note, this Miragraphy device, can be used in public places and in clothing and accessory stores, where this device lets you browse through the products. Check out some detailed diagrams and pictures on this Japanese site.
