In coming few days, I will review this great tool for the small businesses. To be fair to all, my disclaimer is: I have received this product for review purposes and get to keep this printer for providing a fair review. I will not claim that this product is better than any other product. I will use this product in my daily use and state the features as I use them. So here is the first look:

Model : Lexmark 4500
Description : Wireless All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer
Online Price : $153.99

Lexmark 4500 displayed with all contents
Contents :
1 Lexmark 4500 printer
1 USB cable
1 Black Cartridge
1 Color Cartridge
1 User Manual
1 Power supply cord
1 plug-in Wireless module

Installation Experience : The User Manual suggested to install the software first before connecting the printer. After installing the software, the step-by-step wizard guided me in installing the cartridges and printer started. Then I ran the provided Wireless configuration utility. This whole process was painless and easy to follow. The test page was crisp and clear. My rating for installation would be 5 out of 5.

I bought this same printer and went through the configuration steps and I am having trouble getting it to function in the wireless fashion.
I keeps wanting information about which wireless internet network to link to but I only want the printer to communicate with my laptop directly (no external router). Can’t seem to make this simple connection work since I am not given the choice in the setup options.
Any suggestions.

I am presuming you have installed the Lexmark software on your Laptop. Only thing I know that you can try is to connect using Ad-hoc mode if possible. However, I do not know if your laptop will let you do that at the same time while you are connected to the external router via the Wireless card in infrastructure mode.
